When a Finance Page Needs a Picture, the Picture Cannot Invent the Number

On a site about money, a realistic image is easy to misread. A screen full of figures, a branch interior, a smiling customer beside a rate: if the model drew it, it is a concept. It is not a chart, not a statement, and not a photograph of someone who banked with you.

A markets page, a product note, a newsletter: the words carry the fact, and a picture is there so the eye stops. Making that picture used to mean a designer and a long afternoon. Text-to-image tools shortened the afternoon. They did not shorten the duty to check what the picture claims.

What the tools actually improved

Early generators missed hands, rooms, and the plain sense of a sentence. Current ones follow a description of subject, light, and layout well enough to try three directions before lunch. That is useful for a cover illustration, a campaign frame, or a sketch of a product you have not photographed yet.

It is not useful as evidence. A prompt can say “a clear savings dashboard” and the model will still invent the balance. A logo will grow an extra letter. A headline set in type will not match the headline you approved. Specific wording makes the scene more predictable. It does not make a figure true.

Design skill did not leave the job. Someone still decides whether the image says what the paragraph says. If it only looks finished, it is the wrong file for a page a reader might act on.

Keep the still in the same project as the page

Topview is a workspace for that still, not a ticker and not a design suite. You describe the idea, or you bring a script, a reference, or the address of a product page. The work stays in one project: the image next to the brief, so the next version starts from the frame you kept, not from a blank box. Use it for a campaign visual or a product frame you will look at before it sits beside copy.

Read every character on the image. Generated type still invents letters. If a number, a yield, or a brand mark has to be exact, set it in the layout you already trust after the picture is done. Credits and the plan are on the page before you generate. A trial is metered. The workspace does not publish the article, and it does not calculate a return.

A face in the frame needs a person you are allowed to show. A generated customer is not a testimonial.

Keep the still in the same project as the page

Say what the reader is looking at

Label a synthetic image when someone could take it for a photo of a branch, a trading screen, or a client. Commercial use still follows the terms on the account you used. A concept of a city, or an illustration beside an explainer, can stay a concept. A picture that implies a result you did not measure should not run.

The change in these tools is access: more people can see an idea before they book a shoot. On a finance page the sequence is the same and the check is stricter. Write the fact in words. Make the picture in Topview if you need a frame you can revise in the same project. Then read it as if a reader might believe it.
